Wintle: Enjoying Our Football

Ryan Wintle admits the side are enjoying their football so far this season, and is looking to push on from his promising start at Blackpool.

The 24-year-old signed on loan from fellow Championship side Cardiff City in the summer, and is enjoying life on The Fylde Coast with the Seasiders.

"Going into this weekend, we're outside of the play-offs on goal difference. At the start of the season, I don't think many people would have predicted that," he said.

"With the way we set-up as a team, it allows me to play my game comfortably and become as effective as possible. I've played alongside Kenny Dougall and Kevin Stewart in the middle of the park this season, and I think we all look comfortable on the ball and are enjoying our football.

"It's been a really productive few weeks from the side. The performances at Reading and at home to Preston have shown what we're capable of, so long may it continue."

Reflecting on his first nine appearances for the Seasiders, Wintle admits the support the team has received this season has been a real highlight.

"Home and away, the atmosphere has been outstanding form our supporters," he said.

"Particularly for the Preston game, every single fan was bouncing, and it just put a huge smile and everyone's faces.

"We really appreciate the unbelievable support, and are looking forward to sampling more as the season goes on."
