The experienced Peter Hartley was drafted in from Bristol Rovers following Blackpool’s promotion to League One.
An agreement was made to see the 29-year-old switch the Memorial Stadium for Bloomfield Road, penning a two-year-deal with the option of a further 12 months.
The defender joins on the back of a successful half season in League One last time out, where he scored six times in 25 appearances, before injury cut short his campaign.
Hartley, who hails from Hartlepool, previously made close to 200 appearances for his hometown club, before joining Stevenage.
The defender twice finished in the League Two Play-Offs with Plymouth Argyle, where he played alongside Pool’s Kelvin Mellor and Jamille Matt.
