Sessi D’Almeida joined Blackpool for an undisclosed fee from Barnsley in August 2017, adding a different dimension to the midfield.
Capped internationally for Benin, the French-born defensive midfielder agreed an initial one-year deal at Bloomfield Road, with the option of a further year.
D’Almeida departed Oakwell having featured three times for Barnsley in the opening month of last season, with an anterior cruciate ligament tear ruling him out of action for the remainder of the 2016/17 campaign.
Prior to that, the 21-year-old had spent time with Paris Saint Germain’s B team, having initially progressed through the Bordeaux academy system to play two first-team fixtures, including a UEFA Europa League group stage game against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
