Blackpool host Peterborough United as they look to bounce back from their first defeat of 2025 against Stockport County.
The Seasiders led at Edgeley Park but a second-half turnaround by the hosts condemned Pool to their first loss in 11 games.
Peterborough on the other hand picked up three massive points against relegation threatened Shrewsbury Town, winning 3-1 at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Opposition In Focus:
Peterborough United have had a difficult season in Sky Bet League One this term after finishing fourth last season, losing out in the play-offs to Oxford United at the semi-final stage. Darren Ferguson’s side have been consistently one of the top teams in the third tier, finishing in the top six in their last three campaigns in League One, but this season has been a different story for Posh. Despite booking their place in the EFL Trophy final for the second year running thanks to a penalty shootout victory over Wrexham, the Posh sit 17th in League One.
Peterborough were just one place above the relegation zone before their weekend victory over strugglers Shrewsbury Town at the Weston Homes Stadium. Ferguson’s side have won 10 of their 33 league games and sit four points above the dotted line with Gary Bowyer’s Burton Albion continually gaining on the teams above them as they look for a way out of the relegation zone.
The Posh haven’t lost in their last three league games, helping their fears of relegation as they try and gain momentum ahead of their Vertu Trophy final against Birmingham City in April.
