The Club’s grounds staff have been recognised for all of their efforts in this season’s EFL Grounds Teams of the Season award.
The grounds staff at both Blackpool and Stockport County finished just behind Bolton Wanderers in winning League One’s award, being commended for all of their tireless work in maintaining the pitches at the Club’s stadium and training ground through all weather conditions throughout the season.
Head Groundsman Paul Flynn said:
“To receive this recognition is testament to all of the hard-work that has gone on behind the scenes over recent years.
“We are now seeing the benefits of the long-term investment from the Owner and the dedication from all of the grounds staff, where the Club now has a high standard of playing surface at both Bloomfield Road and the Equity Energies Training Centre.
“The Club has never been in the top three of the EFL Grounds Team of the Season. This is a great achievement that we now need to build on even further.”
